Release 1.0.400LATEST

6 October 2026

Artifacts

Summary

  • Security fix: moved the ledger 8 dependency from 8.1.2 to 8.1.3, which fixes the critical advisory GHSA-wr7g-rr4v-jmj8. A v1.0.400 node rejects contract calls whose transcripts contain non-canonical values or operations.
  • Upgrade every node, starting with block producers. A v1.0.300 node accepts some contract calls that a v1.0.400 node rejects, so block producers on different versions can disagree about which blocks are valid.
  • Binary-only upgrade: the runtime stays at 1.0.300 (spec_version 1_000_300), so there is no runtime upgrade, governance action, reset, or resync. No RPC methods, configuration settings, or chain specifications change.
  • A node that syncs Mainnet from genesis now gets past block 1788979, where v1.0.300 stopped with Intent TTL has expired.
  • Toolkit 1.0.400 ships with the node on the same ledger 8.1.3 crates. The toolkit image no longer includes the shx and shelljs npm packages.
  • DApp developers do not need to change how they build transactions. If you maintain a smart contract that guards payouts, withdrawals, or mints with sets or maps whose keys contain a Field, read the advisory GHSA-wr7g-rr4v-jmj8 and inspect the contract state.
